KIRKCALDY

STREET PASTORS

“Street Pastors is about Christians rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in practically responding to the problems of crime and safety. They are like beacons on our streets and I want to see them shining brightly in every constituency.”

David Burrowes, Patron of Ascension Trust

Welcome to Kirkcaldy

Street Pastors

Kirkcaldy Street Pastors welcomes you to its new website. Here you will find information about our team and when we patrol the town centre.

We are part of a national team first pioneered in London in 2003; the Street Pastors initiative continues to grow throughout the UK, and across the world. Kirkcaldy Street Pastors started patrolling on 6th February, 2010.

Street pastors are trained volunteers from local churches who care about their community; they go out on the streets to meet people in their own social environment. The team is there to help, care and listen to whoever they meet.

Our team patrols Kirkcaldy town centre from 10pm until approx 4am, on alternate Saturday nights.

Kirkcaldy Street pastors are led by a Management Team. All initiatives have support from local churches in partnership with the police and the local council.

If you are interested in finding out more about our work, or are interested in becoming a Street Pastor, please contact us using the details on this page.
