Join Us for Shrewsbury’s Christmas Celebrations!
We’d love for you to be part of our festive events this year. Here’s what’s coming up:
🎄 Wednesday 19th November – Christmas Lights Switch-On
Join us in The Square as Shrewsbury Town Council flips the switch to start the countdown to Christmas!
- Activities begin: 4:30 PM
- Lights switched on: 6:30 PM
- Special guest: Shrewdolf, Shrewsbury’s beloved Christmas reindeer, will have its own switch-on moment alongside the town’s main countdown.
🎶 Tuesday 9th December – Street Pastors Carol Service
Held at Shrewsbury Abbey, this family-friendly event invites everyone to sing along to classic carols.
- Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
🎺 Wednesday 17th December – Carols in The Square
A festive evening of music for all the family in The Square, featuring:
- Start time: 4:30 PM
- Live broadcast: BBC Radio Shropshire from 6:05 PM, hosted by Adam Green and Clare Ashford
- Performers: Shrewsbury Brass Band and Shrewsbury Male Voice Choir
- Carols include: Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, Silent Night, Jingle Bells
