Stirling Street Pastors began, developed and is sustained through prayer. We begin and end every one of our meetings and patrols with prayer. Why? Because we know we are totally dependent on God. Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15: 5)

Personal prayer: each Street Pastor is encouraged to prepare prayerfully for every shift.

Praying for one another: We are committed to praying for our fellow Street Pastors week by week as the teams go out on patrol. We also meet quarterly for an evening spent praying together.

Prayer Partners: Each Street Pastor is encouraged to have two or more Prayer Partners who will particularly pray for them on the nights they are on duty. Our Prayer Partners are welcome to join us in prayer at our base before we go on patrol, and also at our quarterly Prayer Evenings.

Prayer from the church: As a Christian charity with representatives from many churches, we are profoundly grateful for the prayer support from the wider Christian community in the Stirling area and beyond. To encourage these groups and individuals we produce a quarterly document, ‘Call2Pray.’
