Our new Safe Space truck was launched in October 2014
to replace our older vehicle, which we operated for four years as a pilot scheme.
The new truck was purchased as a secondhand mobile surgery, and refurbished with the support of local churches, business organisations and care agencies. It is presently parked on Belmont Street between 10:30pm and 3:30am and serves as a base for our Street Pastor teams. We are able offer refuge to those who have over indulged or have found themselves lost, upset or need assistance. Within Safe Space we can provide first aid, a warm drink and a listening ear in a cosy environment. Many people now know we are based there and will seek us out if they are in need of help.
We are thankful for the support of our many partners including Aberdeen Inspired who support us in the replacement of the truck and the running of this project. Please come and visit us on a Friday or Saturday night.
