Greater Bangor Area Street Pastors sprang out of a local pastor reading one line in a theological book. She brought the idea to a ladies book group (which read the Street Pastors book by Les Isaac, and then took it to local churches for support. The response was positive and a number of churches in Bangor came together to make Street Pastors possible. At our initial training we had 30 people from a dozen churches sign on to love Bangor. We want to listen, care, and help here in our hometown. We currently have 10 local churches represented by our volunteers as we head into our second winter on the streets.
