School Pastors

Bideford School Pastors is a project to engage with young people to encourage their development in society.

We recognise that some young people have difficulties in establishing effective relationships and this impacts their social development in society, at school and at home.

DO YOU HAVE A HEART FOR YOUNG PEOPLE?

Bideford School Pastors were available at the end of the school day around the campus and in the town to support vulnerable young people; caring, listening and helping on an individual basis. We are also available at the school’s request to support students at other times.

We are not currently recruiting School Pastors but have a new role of daytime Street Pastors who patrol in the town during the periods students are around. To join the team please download an application pack.

Street Pastors must be over 18, an established Christian church member and able to commit to one afternoon 3 hour duty each week during term time. Full training will be given and a uniform supplied. Ability and commitment are the criteria for selection. We will take up references and CRB checks. Successful applicants will commence training as soon as possible and be integrated into the teams enabling us to cover more days.

Please apply now. For an application pack please go to our downloads page.
