VOLUNTEERING

You could help by getting involved with us and volunteering as a Street Pastor, a Prayer Pastor or a Prayer Partner.

GENERAL HELP

Many of our volunteers help with various jobs but at the moment we would really appreciate help with the following.

  • Organising fundraising events e.g. coffee morning, fireside quiz, musical concert, sponsored event…
  • IT support
  • Making sandwiches / tray bakes for training and recruitment events

If you would like to offer help of any kind, please contact us!

SPREADING THE WORD

You could help by making your church aware of Street Pastors and encouraging them to pray for us.  Spreading the word to people you know, that we need more street pastors, prayer pastors, school pastors and prayer partners would also be appreciated. Tell them about our next Information Evening and Training programme.  (usually early September and early February).

If you would like someone to speak at your church or church group please contact

FINANCIAL HELP

All our street pastors are volunteers. We depend on support from individuals, churches, groups and statutory bodies.

We are very grateful to those who give us large annual grants:

  • PCSP – Police and Community Safety Partnership (CCG)
  • NIHE – Northern Ireland Housing Executive
  • TBF Thompson Ministries have also helped us generously at times.

We are thankful to our partner churches who give an annual subscription, as well as other churches who kindly support us from time to time.
A big thank you to Mountsandel Spar, Castlerock Road Spar and Chill (and their customers), who collect cash at their tills.  An extra thank you to Mountsandel Spar who donate bottled water for people on the streets.
(Other businesses would be very welcome to do this as well – we can supply collecting boxes)

We also have a small number of individual supporters who donate a small amount by standing order each month and one business that supports us each month.  This really helps us!

Our bank details and a form are available for any other volunteers or supporters who would like to give in this way.
Or a cheque can be made out to Coleraine Street Pastors and sent to the Treasurer.
(At this point we do not do Gift Aid)
