We are part of an international team first pioneered in 2003, and Street Pastors continues to grow throughout the UK, Ireland and across the world.

Street pastors are trained volunteers from local churches and we care about our community.  We are led by our local leadership team and coordinator.  We also have support from local churches across denominations.  We serve in collaboration with other community groups, An Garda Síochána, the local council and other statutory agencies seeking to establish safer communities.

Street Pastors is a great opportunity for ordinary Christians to join in God’s mission. It is about seeing and serving people, with the eyes and heart of Jesus, on the streets of Dublin while engaging with people in spaces where often the church has little or no presence. This is an exciting multi-church initiative, open to those over 18, with no upper age limit.

Dublin Street Pastors was officially launched on the 15th May 2019.  Our teams usually operate on Saturday nights 10pm until 4am.  Throughout the year they also often serve at special events such as Junior & Leaving certificate nights, Rag week, St. Patricks Day, etc.

Dublin Street Pastors is registered with the Irish charity regulator  Registered Charity Number, RCN. 20204631 &  CHY. 22733.
