East Grinstead

Welcome

“Street Pastors is about Christians rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in practically responding to the problems of crime and safety. They are like beacons on our streets and I want to see them shining brightly in every constituency.”

David Burrowes, Patron of Ascension Trust

Hello from East Grinstead, a lovely town with a population of around 35.000 people in the Northeastern corner of West Sussex, half way between London and Brighton.

You might have already seen the Street Pastor team around on Saturday nights, patrolling not only the beautiful High Street and the main roads around it but also the station carpark, East Court, Mount Noddy, King George’s Field and Brooklands Park.

Our aim is to be a calming and friendly presence in our town, being there for people in need. With several pubs and two nightclubs open till late in the town, we have already made contact with many people and – as we are a very friendly bunch who like a good chat – please feel free to come up and talk to us should you happen to come across the team.

It is my great pleasure as the coordinator for East Grinstead to welcome you now to have a look around the website, to find out more about what we do and how you could get involved.

Happy browsing and God bless,
Mary Nicholls, coordinator
