Kingston Safe Zone was launched last Friday, 23rd September, as part of the #SaferStreets initiative, supported by Kingston Council, Kingston Police and the Home Office, and will provide a safe space for women and girls, or anyone who is feeling vulnerable in the town centre. Kingston Safe Zone will be a place of safety on the streets of Kingston, staffed by trained volunteers from Kingston Street Pastors. Initially this will be a pop up location outside Kingston Station where members of the public can access help and support in the night time between approximately 10:30pm and 1am as part of our regular shifts in the town on Friday and Saturday nights. Come and see us for a chat, to grab a lollipop or a drink or to charge your phone while you wait for a bus or taxi.
