Oxygen is a Kingston based youth work charity which provides governance oversight for Street Pastors Kingston.  Originally in 2005 a number of concerned people came together to see if a solution could be found to caring for vulnerable people in the night time economy in Kingston Town Centre.  Richard James of Oxygen, Lesley Charlton minister for the URC and Trevor Quy a Christian Police Sergeant looked at what other groups were doing and they came across Street Pastors and decided to pursue it further.  It was decided to sit the new ministry of Street Pastors Kingston under the umbrella of Oxygen for spiritual, financial and organisational oversight, where it remains to this day.
