As Street Pastors we respond to a huge range of demands and needs each time we go out on patrol. A confident approach to every situation is vital, and that is why we invest a great deal of energy and resources in training and preparation.

We are affiliated to churches in Leeds and the surrounding areas through the Churches Together Partnership. All our Street Pastors and Prayer Support Team come from local churches and have the support of their home church.

We currently patrol the areas of Chapeltown and Harehills, however our long term goal is to cover all areas of our city and to be out patrolling the streets every weekend.

We would ask members of all our local churches to prayerfully consider joining us.

Who can be a Street Pastor?
Street Pastors come from right across the Christian community and can be anyone who:

  • is eighteen years old or older
  • has been committed to a Christian fellowship for more than a year
  • has a reference from their Church leader
  • completes the Street Pastors training course
  • is DBS checked

One great way to find out if being a Street Pastor is for you is to join us on one of our night patrols. We’ll fix you up with an observer jacket for the evening and you can see how it works for yourself.

We also require volunteers to support us as:

  • Prayer Pastors – you stay at base and cover the Street Pastors in prayer while they are out on patrol
  • Prayer Partners – you promise to pray and cover our Street Pastors wherever you are, while they are out on patrol.

If you would like to consider becoming a member of our team then please contact us using the details on our “Contact Us” page.
