Our patrols have been out providing over the Christmas period supporting people celebrating. We have handed out flip flops and lollies to those enjoying the city at night.  We offered over 55 voluntary hours this month, collecting over 129 bottles and glasses and talking at length to over 80 people. We have been working hard with different agencies including the Police and Leicester Public Health Department to bring about change on the streets, making them safer and people healthier.

We have provided support to the general public by giving directions and advising them on how to keep safe. We have engaged with those who present as homeless offering food, clothing and a listening ear. Being a willing listener to the fabulous messages of hope but also being a careful listener to those who find the festive season a challenge. Having the time to be in the world as it presents itself to us on a Saturday night is a challenge but most of all it is a privilege.
