The party season is about to start and we all intend to go out and have a good time. As Street Pastors we, often, see people who intended to have a good time but things did not quite work out.
Below are some ideas on how to keep the good time going!!

1. Make sure you charge your phone or at least have your phone lead so you can use the charging points around the city. DON’T forget Street Pastors carry a mobile battery charger so if we are out – come and ask!!.

2. Put your keys, ID and other valuables somewhere you won’t lose them.

3. Keep your wallet safe – not in your back pocket if you can avoid it.

4. Plan your night out, including where you’re going and how you’re getting back.

5. Stay together. Street Pastors are there to help if you lose your friends so DO come and find us.

6. If you are out on a date and it is not working out ask the bar staff about ANGELA and they will find you a safe exit.

7. Keep a close eye on your drinks- all bars now have “SPIKEYS” that can be put in the top of bottles to stop them being tampered with. Street Pastors have supplies of them, as well as, foil covers for drinks. We are happy to hand them out.

8. If you have decided to get a taxi home take a photo of the registration number before you get in so that if there are any concerns you have a record of the taxi you were using.

9. Try and drink water throughout the night. If you don’t manage that the Street Pastor Team always carries water so don’t be afraid to ask!!!
