The Street Pastors initiative in Luton was created by many local churches getting together and committing to serve those most vulnerable in our town at night. Since we began we have known that we could not exist without the prayer of the local church. We know that many individuals do still, 5 years on, regularly pray for Street Pastors they know and pray for those on our streets that our patrols encounter.

We have appreciated the prayer we have had up to this point, and believe Luton Street Pastors would not exist in the way it does now without it. But we know we could do more.

In many other Street Pastor areas there are groups of ‘Prayer Pastors’ – local individuals who come out, at the same time as the night-patrols, and pray for the teams and everyone they meet. We would love to recruit more Prayer Pastors for Luton, and see many more people committed to praying for the work of Street Pastors and much more.
