We held out second Hour of Prayer at the Elim Pentecostal Church in Mitcham last night Monday 3rd November 2014.
In total 18 people gathered to pray for the work of Merton Street Pastors representing 12 Churches and 6 Denominations. We celebrated the unity shown in the group of us that met to pray as well as across the 43 Street Pastors and 28 Churches they’re drawn from.
We thanked God for:
- The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service Presentation which was held on 2nd September.
- The six new Street Pastor volunteers who are currently going through the training programme.
- The news that a lady called Sue has volunteered to give one day a week supporting us with our administration.
We prayed protection and blessing on the Street Pastor teams.
We prayed for the health of the volunteers and their families.
We celebrated the unity and fellowship amongst all those connected with Merton Street Pastors.
We sent people home to pray for peace and safety on the streets in the build up to Christmas.
The next one will be in the New Year.
