Whether you’re a Housing Association tenant, rent privately, own a property or have no fixed address, we offer free and confidential advice on various housing related subjects. New Haven Hostel accommodation for homeless men and women aged seventeen and above. It offers ‘direct access’ short term accommodation for up to seventeen homeless people and is open seven days a week. All referrals are either via PCC or agencies – local connection will take priority. Peterborough Soup Kitchen http://www.peterboroughsoupkitchen.org.uk/ – Peterborough Soup Kitchen is a local charity for homeless and disadvantaged people in the city. Our aim is to ensure that they get some hot soup, food and drinks, throughout the year, whatever the weather conditions.

Safer off the Streets – Seventeen local voluntary, faith, community and public service organisations have come together to form the ‘Safer off the Streets’ partnership. The partnership works together to tackle street homelessness in Peterborough. Services include the Safer off the Streets Drop in Hub located at The Garden House, Wheel Yard, Peterborough, PE1 1YL, open 10am to 4pm daily (except Tuesday) and offering support such as GP and health advice, housing guidance, volunteering activities and CV/job search. If you know of someone sleeping rough please notify the council using the rough sleeper referral form. Soldiers Off the Street – http://www.soldiersoffthestreet.org/ – The charity’s objectives are the relief of charitable need of homeless ex-service personnel, in particular but not exclusively by the provision of clothing, food and rehabilitation, including advice on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, alcoholism, drug abuse, housing and employment. We help all ex-service personnel Army, RAF and RN past and present not just present conflict. Winter Night Shelter http://lpp.churchinsight.com/Groups/271340/winter_night_shelter.aspx – The Winter Night Shelter runs from 12th December to 12th March annually, providing eight B&B places based in local churches.
If you are homeless, please go to one of the three referral points as early as possible in the day to secure one of the eight places:

In addition, Peterborough City Council have Severe Weather Emergency Provision which offers up to 12 additional beds. When SWEP is operating, anyone who is homeless can present themselves at Fairview Court, 1 Oundle Road, PE2 9PB at 10pm and be offered a safe bed for the night. This is a first come first served service.

YMCA Timestop – Immediate Needs – Young single homeless people aged 16-25. Time Stop accepts referrals from any agency and self-referrals by telephone or by mail.
