Just wanted to share an experience with you, after cleaning up a young lady a little worse for the wear, her brother caught hold of my hand and started to tell me about how much he appreciated Street Pastors and their work.

He explained that over a year ago he had passed out in the street on drugs. The Street Pastors picked him up and waited with him until he could manage alone. They talked with him and he asked them some questions about God. He said he spent quite a long time with this team.

The morning after he had woken up with a determination never to do drugs again (!). He succeeded and as a result of the money that he’d therefore saved, now had enough money to go to Australia, a dream he’d had for many years.

It’s those experiences, and the many hugs / handshakes that make our time spent with people so worthwhile.
