We come from different churches in Southwark to make our streets more peaceful and safe at night. We patrol on Friday and Saturday nights from eleven o’clock to the early hours.
Originally set up and run directly by the Ascension Trust, in 2017 Southwark Street Pastors came under the umbrella of Southwark for Jesus, with a locally appointed managment committee. We are excited about the opportunity this has given to work even more closely in partnership with local churches in Southwark.
There is a need for a loving presence on the streets of Southwark and we are always seeking more people to join as Street and Prayer Pastors. Presently we have forty Street pastors operating in a number of teams in different parts of the borough and we are seeking to expand our work into daytime patrols on estates and wherever there is a need for Street Pastors in Southwark.
