Bob-StreetBob Street, chairman of TWSP retired at the Commissioning Service on 18th January.

A note from Cliff Allen who takes over as Chair of trustees…

On behalf of the Street Pastor Trustees, Street and Prayer Pastors, and other Church leaders in the town, let me express heartfelt thanks to Bob for his vision, inspiration and perseverance in leading the Street Pastor Ministry from a tiny seed of an idea, to a growing and thriving ministry on the streets of Tunbridge Wells. We are reaping the benefit of the Street Pastor Ministry today only because many years ago, Bob was inspired by the idea of Street Pastors and he patiently engaged and involved and enthused other Church leaders, the local police and the town council to be involved in this ministry. Through the partnership of this Urban Trinity (Church, Police and Council) we have seen the positive impact of Street Pastors in our town. Beyond that we have seen Churches working in partnership with one another, the police and the local council in a variety of ways since Street Pastors came into being. This is due largely to the fact that Bob ensured this ministry was birthed properly within the Churches of the town and that it has been, and continues to be, run in a very orderly and professional manner. Thank you Bob for all your hard work, all the energy and time and thought and prayer you have invested in the Street Pastor Ministry. Thank you for your leadership, your care, wisdom and insight as you have overseen the work of this ministry over the years, and may God richly bless you as you retire from the ministry of Street Pastors and may He prosper you with whatever He places into your hands next.
