Two fine warriors.

Two fine warriors.

Veronica, Victoria and Wayne were back at Southfields after the Easter break. It was a surprise for us to see Victoria after she had undergone her knee operation such a little while ago but as a brave soldier she is she joined us this morning. There was a slight delay with our start but we spoke to a young lady who had ambition to study languages at University, we were surprised to learn that she was already used to living alone and when we mentioned a issue to do with family she appeared visibly upset. Though she said she was alright it was obvious that there were issues under the surface there.
We then went out into the playground where we found that the weather was kinder than it was compared to the last two terms and the students were a lot more open to speak. They were keen to engage with us and it seemed that they were used to us now. They were keen to joke with us and tease us a little which shows they are much more at home with us.
All in all we all felt it was great to be back and that we had a fruitful time. We hope over the next few weeks that interested parties from our visits from local churches will be keen to join us one Monday morning to expand the team, (watch this space).
