A multi-agency initiative to tackle underage drinking and associated problems has launched in Wantage and Grove.

The Community Alcohol Partnership (CAP) is a campaign to educate the public on the impact alcohol abuse has on our communities.

The initiative, which is the first of its kind in Oxfordshire, follows successful trials elsewhere in the UK. The aim is to reduce young people’s access to alcohol by building on the existing work already undertaken by the South and Vale Community Safety Partnership and other oganisations.

Wantage & Grove Street Pastors is part of this initiative and provide alcohol-related litter data to the partnership. These data may help to identify problem areas and in the future demonstrate the success of activities undertaken by the partnership.
