You can get involved with Street Pastors in lots of ways, whatever your age, health or time constraints!

Street Pastors: need to be over 18 years old, have a desire to help those in need in their local community and be willing to undertake training in first aid, counseling, working alongside police and other agencies, helping those under the influence of drugs or alcohol and learning about their role and responsibilities on the streets. You will also need to provide references from church leaders to show that you have been an active member of a church for at least 2 years and undergo a DSB check or provide us with a DSB registration number (DSB replaces CRB). You will need to be available on at least one Friday/Saturday evening per month, and be aware that some of our patrols will be out until well after midnight.

Prayer Pastors: need to be willing to undertake some training and undergo a DSB check. You will need to be available for around 3 hours on a Friday/Saturday evening around once a month. See our ‘prayer pastors’ page for more details.

Prayer Supporters: are those who are keen to pray and communicate but prefer to do so in their own homes or at other times to our patrol schedule. If you are keen to pray but do not like being out at night or are just not available at our patrol times, perhaps you could join our supporters who get our newsletters and pray when convenient to you.

Church Reps: are very important as they communicate news and requests to our local church members. You will need to be able to use email and be willing to pass information to your congregation.

Please use the details on our contact page to get in touch if you have any questions.
