When we consider who is out on the streets at night — our sons, daughters, friends and colleagues – we want to do our best to ensure they have a fun time and get home safely.

Yarra Street Pastors is a community project aiming to create a safer night-time experience for people frequenting key entertainment districts of the City of Yarra (Brunswick St, Smith St and Swan St), Melbourne, Australia. We have officially launched and are now looking for volunteers to apply (you don’t need to be a pastor!). We are asking for 1 night a month. Why not come out one night as an observer?

Street Pastors are trained volunteers from local churches and we care about our community.

We are led by our local coordinator and we also have support from local churches and community groups in partnership with the police, local council and other statutory agencies.
