INCIDENTS OF NOTE: 16.11.24

• Lots of love for the street pastors on a cold night.

• CCTV identified a male who seemed to be sexually suggestive gestures at women and asked SPs to keep an eye on him. Police later cautioned the man who eventually left town.

• CCTV alerted SPs to a female who, lying on the ground outside one of the venues. Street medics attended who identified that she had taken a substance. Police were notified, took her to KGH due to concerns for her welfare.

• Conversation with a previous, regular rough sleeper who now has accommodation and is on the waiting list for rehab.

• Observed a male, drunk, loudly verbally abusing two homeless people, seemingly for no reason. At a safe moment, intervened and encouraged the homeless couple to move further away and encouraged the male to secure a taxi home, walking him to the taxi rank.

• Conversation with a lady who was suffering a relapse following the anniversary of a death in the family.

• Conversation with a lady who had not been supported by her friends but had a supportive boyfriend with her.

• Man was assaulted at one of the venues. Police dealt with situation but a friend of the man that had been assaulted was upset about the violence towards his friend. They shortly got in a taxi and went home.
