Gloucester Street Pastors May/June 2015 ‘Good News and positive interventions’ report

Over the last 2 months our team of volunteers have prayed for folks on the streets at their request, served countless folks in need of drinks, flip flops, sleeping bags or blankets, removed literally hundreds of potential weapons from the streets (glasses and bottles), helped numerous vulnerable folks get home safely or receive medical attention needed or calming of aggressive situations.

We also had a small team of 3 out after the Elton John concert on a Sunday evening in early June to see what the need was. It was quiet but we are always seeking to respond to one off events in the city and serve whenever we might be needed.

We praise God for all of your faithful service, prayers and support that we couldn’t exist without. Please pray for wisdom and guidance for our Management Team and for protection and fruitfulness for our volunteers out serving each weekend.
If you know any regular church members who might be interested in joining us as team members with Gloucester Street Pastors or your church is interested in having us along for a presentation of what we do and why do it please do get in touch.
We do need more team members in the coming months as volunteers come and go and are committed to continue serving the nightlife folks in Gloucester however we can.
