We would love you to join us with our Christmas celebrations this year. The followings events are coming up very soon:
Wednesday 22nd November – Shrewsbury’s Christmas Lights Switch On returns! Join us in The Square as Shrewsbury Council flip the switch and begin the countdown to Christmas. Music and activities across the town will be returning, with activities kicking off around 4.30pm and the lights switched on at 6.30pm. Shrewdolf, Shrewsbury’s much-loved Christmas reindeer, will have its own switch-on coinciding with the main countdown for the town lights.
Wednesday 6th December – Shrewsbury Street Pastors Carol Service in Shrewsbury Abbey: The Carol Service will be held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The choir ‘Of One Accord’ will be singing for us this year. It is a family-friendly event where you can join in singing carols.
Wednesday 13th December – Carols in the Square, Shrewsbury: This event will take place from 4:30 pm in the Square. It is a popular festive event that features music for all the family. The concert will be broadcast live on BBC Radio Shropshire hosted by Adam Green and Clare Ashford from 6:05 pm. Music will be provided by Shrewsbury Brass Band with members of Shrewsbury Male Voice Choir leading the crowds with renditions of classic Christmas carols including Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, Silent Night and Jingle Bells.
