Cardiff Street Pastors were announced as winners of the Citizenship Award at the recent prestigious St David Award.

Recognising the exceptional achievements of people from all walks of life in Wales and abroad, the St David Awards are the national awards of Wales. The Citizenship Award celebrates people and organisations who work tirelessly to improve communities across Wales.

The winners were announced at an awards ceremony held at the Senedd (the Welsh parliament building). With the awards themselves were presented by the Welsh First Minister, Mark Drakeford.

We were delighted to find out that we had won! It’s such a privilege to have our work recognised and to be able to share more about the work Street Pastors do with those we met.

Each Friday and Saturday night between 10pm and 4am, the Cardiff Street Pastor teams are out on the streets to care for, listen to and help people they meet, showing the love of Jesus to everyone in practical ways.  We’re so grateful to have the fantastic team of volunteers we work with, and cannot thank them enough for everything they do. This award belongs to everyone that is involved.
