We always welcome new volunteers! Contact us to find out how to get involved or if you’re interested in seeing what it’s all about, come out as an observer.

To become a Street Pastor you need to:

  • Be 18 or over (no upper limit!)
  • Be a committed Christian and be involved in a church for at least a year
  • Complete an application form
  • Obtain a reference from a minister/priest/church leader
  • Commit to completing the training programme
  • Commit to going out once a month

Street Pastors who join are asked to contribute a one-off fee of £300 towards training and uniform costs. However we don’t want anyone to be put off applying because of financial restraints. If you’re interested in becoming a Street Pastor, then please contact us to discuss how to get involved.

Night Base is the operational base for Cardiff Street Pastors and is an important part of the Cardiff Street Pastors project. The Night Base is manned by volunteers and is open from 10pm until 4.00am on the same nights Cardiff Street Pastors are on duty. The Night Base is a place for the Street Pastors to meet, be briefed and to pray before their shift. It’s used as a place for refreshment and relaxation for Street Pastors, South Wales Police and other members of Cardiff’s night time economy.
