What a busy month we have been having
At the end of October we were approached by the Violent Crime Reduction Unit to enquire as to whether we could support some work they were doing in the city. The meeting led to Street Pastor patrols carrying a GPS tracker and reporting our observations to the team.
Alongside that we were invited to provide a presentation about what we do to all Police shifts- 10 weeks of speaking to a room of 60 Police Officers and PCSOs. We are now receiving information about the needs of the city and where we can intentionally bring prayer and peace.
At the beginning of November the City Council asked the team to join them in looking at how we may contribute to the implementation of their Alcohol Reduction Strategy. There were opportunities to share what we already do but also to have valuable conversations on how we could support the work of other agencies.
Our patrols have been out providing over 40 voluntary hours this month, collecting over 140 bottles and glasses and talking at length to over 50 people. We have had 8 deep spiritual conversations where the Good News of the gospel has been shared.
