We made a visit to St Andrews Church , Jarrom Street and there was a large congregation. We stayed afterwards and caught up with Father Barry Naylor who was part of the management team that set up Leicester Street Pastors all those years ago. We also made contact with someone who had begun the process of becoming a Street Pastor and life got in the way. I am glad to report that they have restarted the process and will be coming out on observation in December.

Last Sunday we visited Bishop Street Methodist Church and was given a warm welcome. Russ did an inspiring talk and we stayed afterwards to chat. The minister had been involved in action on the streets in Wales and expressed a wish to join us for an observation.

We have a couple of further dates for your diary:

14th January 10.30am– Oadby Baptist Church – the whole service has been dedicated to us.

28th January 10.30am – Springwell, Whetstone Baptist Church – definitely opportunities to chat afterwards but the minister is getting back to me with further details.

From our attendance at the DMU volunteer fair I met up with a prospective volunteer who is coming out with the team in December. They then contacted us to suggest another person who I shall be meeting in the next week.

Our current trainee, Gemma has introduced another prospective volunteer who will be coming out with the team this Saturday.
