Perth Street Pastors
Perth Street Pastors are out in the city centre of Perth most Fridays and Saturday night from 9pm – 1am and also on the days when the farmers market is on. to listen, care and help. We also join a variety of local events whether they are during the day, earlier in the evening, or an even later night! such as the Christmas light switch on and Perth Show.
We are part of the national (and now global) Street Pastors movement and have been active in Perth & Kinross since 2007.
Our members come from over 20 churches of different denominations and from locations all around Perth & Kinross.
Street Pastors go out on the streets of their communities to listen, care, and offer help where we can, with the core role of all Street Pastors to provide a listening ear to any individual we meet who wishes to share about their life.
On a practical front we carry flip flops, space blankets, spikies, lollipops, bottles of water and first aid materials, and we gladly forward individuals on to other organisations that are able to provide relevant specialist help.
We enjoy partnerships with the “Y”, Community Wardens, Youth Engagement Team, P & K, and the Emergency Services.
If you see us on the streets please don’t hesitate to come over and have a chat, and feel free to get in contact on the details provided to find out more about what we do!
