In 2022 The Cottage Family Centre in Fife teamed up with Amazon UK to launch a new initiative called The Big Hoose Project. It is one of the biggest family anti-poverty projects in decades.

The aim of the project is to provide vital household goods to help ease poverty at a time when fuel and food bills are continuously rising, and more families than ever are struggling to make ends meet.
The goods we can provide are varied and range from domestic goods, food parcels, bedding, clothing and the occasional electrical products.

The original aim of the project was to support 10k-15k families across Fife in the first year, the actual amount was upwards of 40K, and now at 18 months is over 90K families having been supported with over 1.3million items provided. (sept23)

The number of partners who have now signed up to support this project with donated goods is over 30 and growing. These include the likes of Amazon, Asda, Co-op / Scotmid, Fishers Laundry and many more.

We at PKAVS are excited to join this project and open a hub to support families/children most in need throughout Perth & Kinross.
