Perth Street Pastors recently celebrated it’s 15th anniversary with a social in the Royal George Hotel which was attended by 80 Street, School and Prayer Pastors as well as the Rev Les Issac who founded Street Pastors in the UK 20 years ago and is now a worldwide organisation which comes under the umbrella of Ascension Trust. Chris Jewell who is the CEO of Ascension Trust Scotland was also in attendance along with various invited guests from our partner agencies, P & K council, Police, Community Wardens, YMCA, Safer Communities Perth, Veterans Chaplaincy Scotland, Perth Grammar School and Bertha Park High School. It was a great occasion and several of the original Street Pastors were there, some of whom still go out on patrols.
