The Street Pastors have had a presence at T in the Park for several years now, with volunteers coming from initiatives all over Scotland to go out on patrol in the campsite.

We have teams out on the Thursday night as campers arrive, then the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights of the festival itself (the 9th-12th of July for 2015).

The Street Pastors at T in the Park fulfil the same role as they do in towns and cities around the UK, they’re there to listen to anyone who wants a chat or to offload, to care, and to offer practical help to people in need where they can.

Doing a similar, but slightly extended, shift to most towns and cities Street Pastor patrols, they’re out from around 8.30pm till 4am.

It’s quite an incredible experience to be part of with the site becoming the 5th largest town in Scotland by population over the weekend, and on a much smaller area of land! The presence of Street Pastors has always been found to be beneficial and much appreciated, and it’s a great privilege for us to have been able to join and serve the festival goers & staff at the old site and now at the new as well.
