The local school pastor initiatives team up with the URC’s Wessex Synod to provide an up to date, informative and enjoyable Safeguarding Children course for new and current school pastors. All children, whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, language, racial origin, socio-economic status, religious belief and or sexual identity have the right to protection from abuse.
Learning Outcomes
- Recognise your responsibility for safeguarding children
- Examine the main categories of abuse and neglect for children as well as the different types of adult abuse
- Gain an understanding of the signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect for children and vulnerable adults
- Learn how to respond to allegations of misconduct or abuse of children and or vulnerable adults in line with the policy and procedures
