STREET PASTORS
Street Pastor volunteers come from a range of backgrounds and Christian denominations to visit Portsmouth’s night-time economy as one body, to be the hands and feet of Jesus on the streets. As teams of 4, volunteers come together every Friday and Saturday night, as well as at special events such a local festivals and commemoration events.
We welcome applications from all sorts of Christians, so long as you have a practising faith and a heart for your local city, and a desire to show people the love of God through caring, listening, and helping.

PRAYER PASTORS
Prayer is direct personal communication with God and is powerful. Without prayer, our support in the city would not be effective. Our Prayer Pastors operate as individuals in homes, informed by regular patrol reports, while others come together physically or online. Whatever the location and circumstance, we are here to intercede and give thanks to God for this ministry, its volunteers and those people we encounter along the way.

trustees
We are indebted to our team of trustees from across church denominations, who contribute to the development and sustainability of our services through attending our bi-monthly trustee meetings, and offering specialist advice, making use of professional experience and church backgrounds and networks.
Trustees meet one Wednesday at 5pm, currently via Zoom, every two months. In addition to meeting attendance, they fulfil occasional support in areas of expertise including, legal and finance, for example.
Please contact John if you would like to find out more about becoming a Street Pastors Portsmouth trustee.
