In late March, we suspended all patrols in light of the deepening COVID-19 crisis. However, on Saturday, 4 July, our Team Leaders were out walking with the re-opening of the Basingstoke night time economy. Our patrols restarted following an assessment of the risks to our volunteers and clients to ensure everyone is kept safe.[If you would like access to our risk assessment, please get in touch.]

We received a warm welcome from door staff, bar managers and the police. On the whole, top of town was very quiet but we were delighted to be out and to assist a young man, a young woman and four homeless folk. It’s good to be back on the streets again! Do look out for our Street Pastors on Saturday evenings, and come over to say ‘hi’, socially distanced of course!
