Perth School Pastors have been in existence for the last five years and in that time we have built up a great partnership with the pupils and staff of Perth Grammar School who have been very supportive of what we do.

We patrol around the shops at North Muirton and the school perimeter as well as in the playground and in the school corridors. We have also been invited to attend Sports day, prize giving, parent contact evenings and the Senior Prom.

When we first started our aim was to engage with the S1 pupils so that by the time they reached senior school and started to venture into the town on a Friday or Saturday night they would know who Street Pastors were and that we would be looking out for their safety and they could come to us if they needed help.

This has worked very well and the big bonus was when we started coming out of lockdown we met many of the PGS youngsters on the North Inch where they were gathering with their friends and they helped us bridge the gap and make friends with pupils form other schools.

They treat us with respect and we now have their trust.

We are also available for the staff at the school and the residents around the school and have a very good working relationship especially with the senior leadership team.

We continue to develop the partnership and are always looking for other areas in the school life that we can help with.

At this years prize giving the school awarded us the Douglas Bader memorial Quaich which is for commitment to the school.
