OUR STREET PASTOR COORDINATOR

Katy Wright has been the Tunbridge Wells Street Pastor Coordinator since February 2021. She is married to Steve (who used to be a Street Pastor and Response Pastor) and they have one daughter.
Katy continues to be a Street Pastor as well as the coordinator. She also works as Operations Manager for the charity, Cinnamon Network which helps churches engage with their communities through church based social action projects like Street Pastors, Housing Justice Night Shelter and Trussell Trust foodbanks.
In her spare time she loves baking, reading and watching DVD’s on the sofa whilst eating what she has just baked!

OUR CHAPLAINS

We recognise that there are occasions when Street Pastors may need to talk to someone other than their Team Leader or Church Leader. This may be after a significant event while out on the street. Street Pastors should consider if it is appropriate to contact a Chaplain or whether there is someone else who could help resolve the issue in the first instance.

Parvin Stewart

Parvin Stewart – who is married to Jim Stewart, vicar at St James’ – has taken over from Alice Bates, who has moved out of the area. Parvin has been a prayer pastor for 5 years and is a great supporter of our ministry. She also co-ordinates St James’ work with children and young people.

Parvin’s role is to support the female Street Pastors.

Bob Street is a United Reformed Church [URC] minister, having worked as part of a husband and wife team, looking after 3 churches in Tunbridge Wells until he retired in March 2014. He was chairman of TW Street Pastors until his retirement, helping to set-up this ministry in TW. Since retirement, he and his wife have been involved with Justyn Larcombe in setting up and running a Recovery [from addiction] Course in Tonbridge and TW. They also still work in the URC as Pastoral Committee convenors endeavouring to provide ministry for churches in West Kent and East Sussex.

Bob’s role is to support the male Street Pastors.
