Street Pastors Patrols
We at Canterbury Street Pastors are looking for new recruits both Street Pastors and Prayer Pastors. Bringing life and hope to those that are lost and vulnerable on the street of the city of Canterbury. We welcome you to join us for an observation patrol, once we return to patrols. We have a team of hearts full of love for Christ and a heart for the lost. Being the Good Samaritan by helping those the streets of Canterbury.
We offer full training and uniform to all those who are selected. We will ask you to complete a DBS Check and provide a reference from your current church, in return for your commitment. Starting at 9.30pm on a Saturday night -until around 4pm. you will find us at St Andrew’s URC in Watling Street, Canterbury ( near the bus station)
Prayer Pastors
Within the Street Pastors family is a group of people called prayer pastors who make a specific commitment to support the teams by praying while the street pastors are out on patrol, There are no specific qualifications for this other than being an active member of a local Christian church and be willing to undertake some training and ideally be present at our base They pray at the same time as the patrols are out, but you can be flexible with time, Half night, full night, or join us for our online prayer sessions via Zoom from 9pm-10pm. every Saturday. We do have 2-3 breaks throughout the night, as the team replenishes their stock and rest before going out again.
