On Friday 26th September 2008 some local volunteers went out into Chester city centre’s night-time economy on their first ever Street Pastors patrol.

Since that time, Chester Street Pastors, increased their patrols to every Friday and Saturday nights, come rain or shine to listen, to care and to provide practical help and support to all those we encounter in the night-time economy hours.

On 26th September 2018, 10-years to the date since the first patrol went out, we are planning a special event to celebrate our 10th birthday in the Assembly Room of Chester Town Hall with guest speaker will be Rev’d Les Isaac OBE, the instigator of Street Pastors nationally.

Rev’d Les led the first ever Street Pastors patrol, in London, in 2003 and since that time it has grown to such an extent that Street Pastors are now present in nearly 300 towns and cities across the UK with around 14,000 fully trained Street Pastors (the numbers keep changing every week). The model has been so successful it is now being adopted internationally.

If you would like information about the event then please enter a message on our contact page and we can get back to you with more details.
