Coleraine Street Pastors
Street Pastors was first pioneered in 2003 in Brixton, London by Rev Les Isaac, of Ascension Trust
Currently about 250 towns and cities in UK have a Street Pastor team.
Coleraine & Ballymoney Street Pastors are trained volunteers from 30 local Christian churches – we care about making our community safer!
We are out on patrol every weekend – on Friday evenings and late Saturday nights to care for, listen to and help people who are out on the streets.
We are led by a coordinator, supported by a management team and a small operations team. We have support from local churches and work in partnership with the police, local council and the Housing Executive. .
If you are interested in finding out more about what we do, or in becoming a Street Pastor, do read on and feel free to get in touch using the details below.
“Street Pastors is about Christians rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in practically responding to the problems of crime and safety. They are like beacons on our streets and I want to see them shining brightly in every constituency.”
