Croydon Street & School Pastors

Croydon it was c-c-cold on Friday night in our town centre, a cold that penetrated leather-clad fingers – but not as cold as it will be in February which is typically the coldest month for patrols. We are thankful that although cold, it was a dry night but even rain will not deter us. Some of us have patrolled in snow drifts! 🌨️❄️

All in all it was a relatively quiet night/morning which some of the door staff attributed to it being Black Friday with clubgoers at home on the Internet shopping bargains. The quietness did not stop us from having some good conversations and being able to offer prayer for one individual, foil blankets and sweets on request for others.

It was good to see new businesses on the High Street and South End including new eateries that some of us will be investigating further. We welcome these new businesses to Croydon and wish them every success as they contribute to the revival of our town centre.

It is now less than a month to Christmas and we plan to be out on patrol again in mid-December so we will see you then.
