Merton Street Pastors
Merton Street Pastors are a group of ordinary Christians from local churches in Merton, motivated by the love of Jesus, who go out to patrol the streets, of Mitcham since 2005, Wimbledon since 2009 and now Morden from 2016, late at night on Friday nights looking to care for people, to listen to people and to help people.
In 2014 we were thrilled to be awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
We currently have 49 volunteers representing 28 different churches.
We usually patrol on the 1st, 2nd and last Fridays of the month in Mitcham from 8pm to 12am, as well as the 1st, 3rd and last Fridays of the month in Wimbledon from 10pm to 2/3am and now Morden from 9pm to 1am-ish on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month.
We are always looking for more people to pray for us, support us financially or volunteer with us, so please do get in touch if you’d like to find out more.
