Borders Street Pastor Steve came to the rescue of a stricken lorry driver on his way home after the Commissioning Service and first patrol on 11 June 2016.

Steve came across a jack knifed lorry at a dangerous corner on a remote Borders road. He helped keep traffic clear until the Police arrived and then took the lorry driver into his car to look after him. Steve shared some leftover goodies from the Commissioning Service with the driver and made sure he was okay.

Once he got home, Steve saw the recovery vehicle pull up near his house  and as the jack knifed lorry was in a remote location, his offer of guiding the driver to the correct location was gratefully received. Steve finally got to bed at 5am!

Well done Steve!
